Stepping back from Rolletto and its sisters
If a casino closed your account, or you’re here looking for somewhere new to keep playing, a pause may do more for you than another sign-up. Each casino takes its own exclusion, so ask every one where you hold an account to exclude you.
Rolletto’s licence is Curaçao’s OGL/2024/1798/1048, the same licence its 5 sister casinos hold.
Someone to talk to, today
The National Gambling Helpline, GamCare’s service for England and Scotland, is on 0808 8020 133. It’s free and confidential, staffed day and night all year, and you can use live chat or WhatsApp instead of calling. You can ring about someone else’s gambling as well as your own.
In Wales, ring the NHS Wales gambling helpline on 0808 2819 265 at any hour, and adults can contact the All Wales Gambling Treatment Service themselves on 0300 0859 464. If you’re struggling more widely, Samaritans answer on 116 123, free, day or night. Outside Great Britain, GamCare keeps a list of support services in other countries.
Blocks that don’t rely on willpower
- GAMSTOP’s online scheme stops you signing up for or using accounts with the gambling companies that check its register. You choose the length, from 6 months to 5 years. Once you’ve registered, you can’t cancel early, and the block carries on after that period until you ask for it to be removed. GAMSTOP advises combining it with other tools, including the two below.
- If your bank offers a gambling block, switch it on: it blocks card payments flagged by your bank as gambling. GamCare reported in May 2021 that some offshore operators were disguising gambling payments under non-gambling merchant codes, so use the block alongside the next step.
- Gamban, BetBlocker and similar blockers, installed on your phone, your laptop and any other device you use, stop gambling sites from loading at all.
- GAMSTOP’s separate scheme for betting shops covers high-street bookmakers.
Closing a Rolletto account
Rolletto’s self-exclusion page offers two routes through its customer support team: a temporary closure for a break, or a self-exclusion requested by email for anything from 6 months to 5 years. The same page says an account closed for a break can be reopened early on your written request, at the casino’s discretion. If a short break hasn’t held before, choose self-exclusion.
VeloBet, Cosmobet, Zizobet and Goldenbet each run their own exclusion process, and none of their pages says an exclusion elsewhere will stop you there. If you exclude, do it at every brand where you’ve got an account, and add a bank block.
Small steps that help
- Keep your cards out of reach and delete saved payment details from casino accounts.
- Set a spending limit before you play, not after a loss.
- Tell one person you trust what you’re doing. It makes the plan easier to keep.
- Don’t borrow, or bet more, to win back money you’ve lost.
